Ohio State's Aaron Craft shows 'big guts' with late-game heroics

DAYTON, Ohio — Every great NCAA tournament shot comes with a victim. Aaron Craft's last-second three-pointer for Ohio State lit up the highlight shows Sunday, to mass oohs and widespread ahs.
But what about the guy sitting in the Iowa State locker room with a towel over his head?
"Credit to him, big guts," Georges Niang said softly.
The shot was one of the landmark moments of the month so far, and recent Ohio State history. And it was taken over Niang.

If that small slice of the 2013 tournament is shown and re-shown a thousand times, Georges Niang will still be there, standing just a tad too far away to stop Craft from putting a stake through his team's heart. It is a replay he will have no stomach to watch for some time.
"I don't know how to even explain it," he said with red eyes. "I just keep playing that play over and back in my head. It just gets more and more tougher to swallow. He made a great play, and I'm not going to take any credit away from him. He made the shot."
